Unsolved Mysteries: Dyatlov Pass
1959: A group of Russian hikers go missing. The rescue party finds their tents in disarray, having been cut open from the inside. Whatever cause these people cut open their tents, run out in sub zero temperature wearing scant clothing and no shoes had to have been frightening enough for them to abandon rational thought. When the bodies were found, they were mangled. What happened at Dyatlov Pass?

Thanks for doing this one, Auntie. I actually streamed the Russian dramatization of this incident – “Dead Mountain” (2020), and it’s excellent. All the theories were successfully fit into the narrative, without making light of the tragedy. In the end, though, it’s just like you told us here.
